: Fitting Greddy Type-s Flange To The X?
hotroddude 11-15-2008, 05:18 AM Hey guys,
I'm going to be installing a new BOV on my car, I've found an almost-Greddy type-s I want to get. I know I will need to get Greddy's flange for it, but I've read that I will need to weld it on my car? Is that really necessary or is there a way around that, I'm not real thrilled about that bit.
Thanks in advance for the help.
P.S, Here's a video showing what it sounds like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vybxR8z4cGM
jApOrMs 11-15-2008, 05:21 AM that sounds good for being recirculated
EvoX08 11-15-2008, 01:00 PM no, when you get the new bov, if it is the greddy, when you get the flange or any flange for that matter, just put it exactly where the stock one is, do you have any aftermarket intake, i have ams and they put it right in front of the intake on top of the licp.
hotroddude 11-15-2008, 03:27 PM Thanks for the info. I currently don't have an aftermarket intake, but I'm planning on getting the AMS intake around the same time.
lwevert 11-15-2008, 03:59 PM I'm pretty sure you can use a flange and weld it to the UICP or use the greddy flange adapter and run it in you stock location.
hotroddude 11-15-2008, 08:51 PM Do you know what size adapter I need?
Kooldino 11-15-2008, 10:29 PM They discontinued the type S and replaced it with the greddy type RS:

hotroddude 11-15-2008, 11:12 PM The BOV I'm looking at isn't made by Greddy, but it was made to sound and look like the Greddy type-s.
The NGR Type-S isnt a knockoff of the Greddy, it is superior than the Greddy Type-S, this has no defects, complications, leaks, etc. This makes the authentic whistle the original was known for with no leaks, a stronger diaphragm, and better overall internals.
I'd rather try this instead of a used Greddy type-s, seeing as they will replace it for free if I have troubles with it.
Anyway, I still dont know what size adapter I need, I've seen a 16mm, 29mm, 32mm, 34mm, and 45mm. Any ideas?
maverick_124 11-15-2008, 11:55 PM i have my type RS in my licp and im using a 2.5" (inline) adapter. so how ever big the valve on the bottom of the BOV is the hole has to be atleast that big so maybe 1.25 inch

maverick_124 11-20-2008, 01:32 PM all you gotta do to do that is plug off the 2 ends on the OEM BOV. if not you will only get 10 PSI of boost haha

maverick_124 11-20-2008, 01:41 PM haha where the OEM one goes you plug the pipe that comes from the LICP and the hole that goes into the intake
