good clip. the sti has a stage 3 kit plus generally a higher msrp than the evo so that could acct for the 13k difference in price and make the sti 60k.

the evo only had stage 2 stuff.

I love how the guys building it said that their goal was a car that you could track and drive around town. then the driver kept commenting on how it could use another couple hundred horse power. are there many 600 hp daily drivers out there?

In the STi's defense, the driver couldn't launch it worth a damn (not that the X was launched well). But it told us what I've been saying for a long time.

When the new STi and X both came out, the STi was beating it in a good number of tests. But I knew back then that the evos would respond better to mods and ultimately be much faster for less. Here's your proof. ;)

I expected this to be a stock for stock battle at an Auto-X. I guess I was kinda disappointed by the actuality. Neat video though.

That was almost to one sided lol. I like that it was the same company. Harman vs. Harmon. Its hard to believe the Evo can put it on the STI at that much of a HP dissadvantage.

And why does he say the evo has more top end horespower when the STI was listed as having more??? is it possible they switched their hp numbers?

The way the evo kicked the STI's ass makes me a bit suspicious that they made a mistake as too what the horespower was on each car.

And that driver is really umm... excentric. And what is the deal with him saying "oh it could use a bit more horespower, maybe 200 more ponies..." lol! I don't think he's the greatest driver.

Old ass video lol... the HM STI was having clutch issues and was bogging all day long... they need to hurry up n rematch already... however, the HM STI was supposed to be almost exactly like the HM evo... which tells you how much power you can pull from an evo for a lot less than from an sti...
