If I was building a house, I'd definitely include the drawer stairs; that is ingenious.

What would worry me is if it would be as structurally strong. Also, i'd worry about the droors opening themselves.

Yea, there is still time, no doubt.

I just wish I went when I wanted to, which was right out of highschool. So much easier to get things done quickly and move them out of the way instead of being lazy and dragging it out.

Architecture is sweet stuff. My mom is killer at that stuff.

I was actually studying CAD and such to be an architect in high school until I took my first computer programming class. After that, I fell in love.

#1 looks eerily like my stairs.. though the ones pictured are of course at least 100 years newer, less steep, and wider. 1800s house ftw!

oh and of course mine have no drawers. --but they do creak like crazy and people are afraid of falling on them all the time :P

I like the idea of a drawer in the stairs... that is a really cool idea!
