Ok, I have the Telnav software on my Crackberry. At first I loved it, until I got out of my home area and realized that it really doesn't like to find stuff where it's not used to. That could just be due to my home area being Youngstown or something. Aside from that, it's a good program.

Both free and work w/ Windows Mobile. I know that Octro works w/ GMail Chat.

looks like it's the same hardware as the sprint version. as long as alltel didn't lock it down they should be pretty much the same. software and stuff here under "Titan"

just found that one. it's written for HTC and WM6 but says it should work for other WM6 devices. i haven't tried it out yet but it sounds like a nice, simple way to access some of the "hidden" features instead of going through the registry

For your phone, Kaisertweak is really nice. the guy takes user submissions and integrates them in, he was releasing a couple versions a week when the tilt first came out.

My fav apps for the tilt/kaiser:
-- Vito Findme (I think that's the company name) GPS tracking.. it looks for special strings in SMS messages and will sms you back with the gps coordinates of the phone. It works well since the gps auto turns on and off. It's actually designed less for theft tracking than it is for social networking.. you can tell it who you'll allow a request to come from, etc.
-- Wireless Today plugin.. just shows your bluetooth/wifi/3g status on a small today plugin. I used it because it gave me a decent sized bar to tap with my finger to access the amazing HTC 10-button communications manager (so nice compared to the AT&T one)

Rob.. check www.i607.org, one of my roommates and I made 90% of the content on that site.
Absolute essentials for the blackjack:
-- leaked windows mobile 6.. rob I can talk to you about getting that later tonight.
-- Alphanumeric dialer bar -huge flaw with the blackjack.. imagine how you would dial 1-800-BONE-KLEA.. yeah that's right, there's no way to see what numbers correspond to the letters. You can thank my roommate for making that slick AT&T-branded dialer bar.. looks as close to the oem one as possible.
-- google maps
-- windows live search --yeah, use it and google maps.
-- opera mobile 8.65 --rob talk to opera and see if they'll let you transfer the license you bought for the nokia. They let me, but it was for a way old version so it was useless. Opera Mini is a no go on the blackjack because of the way it handles java permissions. (it'll prompt you every time it tries to receive any data)
-- shozu for flickr upload of photos.
-- application unlock (lets you edit the registry)
-- a good registry editor, one that you can use from a windows pc to edit the registry on the phone. It's kinda annoying to handle .reg files to and from the phone plus all the typing.

wait I take that back!! don't download it!!

OZ is the one that AT&T preinstalls on phones.. it actually uses text messages to send and receive messages, omg don't use it!

Octrotalk is the one I used.. give it a try. www.octro.com

supports aim and google talk and others

Cons: When sending a message you have to touch-screen to do so. :(

Con #2: Have too many sn's and not knowing which to pick. :((

Now, onto setting up Gmail..

Jared -- 3G went live in Buffalo and Rochester this evening. I speed tested from my house and got 1.05Mbps down!

I heard they were doing Buffalo - Syracuse all at once but haven't heard from anyone in Syracuse to confirm yet.. that means hopefully Albany - Schenectady - Saratoga soon

I've been liking the Opera Mini 4 beta browser for my Blackberry Curve. Tried to install their final version but for some reason it will not replace the old-old version 3 left on my phone, even though it does not show in my applications list. Will have to try and fix through my desktop software.

The Sprint Mogul is made by HTC for those who were curios what it is.

Anyways I like to use SlingBox. You can watch DVR'd programs on your Windows Mobile powered pda :)
