lol, take it as a compliment. Mostly likely he did it cause he knows that the evo is still a threat to his car.

or you can just pull out a copy of sport compact car and show him the evo x labelled king of the road above the GTR.

But the trap speed says otherwise.

Its a driver's race. GTR driver probably didnt launch right. But props to the ACR.

whats crazy is the viper gets a better launch and is going 124mph, the GTR is only going like 105, yet is only .06 seconds behind.

gtr must have a much higher acceleration from like 20-80mph or something. cuase those number make no sense. the viper should have smoked the gtr even more after that launch.

Did anyone else thing the GTR launch was bad. It look delayed to me or something.

True but the GTR was just about to eat the viper alive. The lower trap speed is probably do to the turbo lag. I have heard they pull so hard once they hit boost.

GTR had a cobb tune. but anyhoo poor launch by GTR and he also hit the brakes before the end.. pretty impressive against the ACR .. bang for buck.. how much is the ACR worth?

Sounds like excuses to me. I've been in an aggressively tuned one, and while fast, it's nothing earth shattering. No substantial turbo lag to speak of really. We might as well be talking about what an AMS Evo 8/9 does against the ACR Viper.

A lot, but the point is, the ACR is a full out race car. The GTR doesn't even stand a chance against it on a track. What they do in a 1/4 mile is meaningless. Bang for the buck? 100k for a car that absolutely destroys everything in it's class on a track is a pretty impressive.

The ACR destroyed the Ring in Germany besting the ZR1 and killing the GTR. Its a full on race car.

well acr is 600plus hp, beaten the zr1 by a scanty fraction of a milliseconds

What are you talking about? The ACR ran a 7:22 at the ring. The ZR1 ran a 7:26. A 4 second split on the ring when you're under the 8 minute mark is substantial. Food for thought, the R35 GTR on "race prepared tires" ran a 7:38.

7:22.4 =ZR1(the gtr(7:29:03)for me is just against any 400 to 500hp car. acr is for zr1.)

With GM hotshoe Jan Magnussen in the cockpit of Zee Really fast One, the General's hypercar trimmed a staggering four seconds off its previous record-breaking lap time, bringing in a 7:22.4 lap around the 13-mile circuit. Although blisteringly quick, the ZR1's new time still falls short of the Viper ACR's best time of 7:22.1. We don't expect this glorious arms race to end anytime soon — not that we'd ever want these warriors of the raceway to quit duking it out. Guess it depends on whomever ends up owning the Viper brand.

Thanks for the update on that. Also take in consideration they are actively trying to beat the ACR's record. If Dodge came back to the ring and were pushing as hard Chevy is right now, we'd probably talking about near flat 7:20's.

i can say this will be a healthy competitions, since the acr did a 7:22 mark for sure the nissan will not launch v spec with lower numbers, i heard they are trying to do 7:20. which is good. too bad porchea(even ferrari enzo 07:25)) is not the picture any more. 2 americans and one japs. i hope in the near future evo will be benching their car on nurburgring lap on 4cyl turbo car.

The target time for the Spec V was a slightly more optimistic 7 minutes 20 seconds but with a damp track this wasn’t to be realized

Also, the ZR1 makes more power than the ACR Viper.

ZR1 638 hp/604 ft.-lbs
ACR Viper 600 hp/560 lb·ft

Both car's are very similar in curb weight as well. One of the big advantages for the ACR is ridiculous amounts of downforce.

yeah plus its 8.4liter v10 torque delivery. even if the zr1 has more torque i think acr has a less hp/torque loss at the wheels. remember the zr1 when dynoed it only registered 505whp.
