Hello all, I ordered my Evo X in Japan last month, I should be receiving it in the first week of December. When I receive the car, the first thing I was planning on doing was installing a Clifford Matrix 50.5X security system. The Evo X I ordered is equipt with a smart key system (aka mitsubishi Keyless operation system), factory alarm, & immobilizer. As most of you may know, the vehicle is equipt with a 3 button remote (Door lock, unlock, & trunk) even with the smart key system.
My question is, is it possible to integrate the Clifford security system with the factory security system? Basically, I want to be able to keep the factory security/immobilizer and activate it with when I activate the Clifford security.
Any advise or help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanx in advance

I have seen a migration between secuirty systems on other cars. Not too sure about with the X. A friend of mine had a Compustar migrated in on one of his cars...can't remember which. If there isn't a system out yet for this application, I'm sure there will be.

I'm sure this will be possible in time, but you may have to wait for someone to figure out a wiring setup.
I just installed an alarm in EvoX so if anyone needs help wiring, just ask.
BTW, mine is the JPN model, see pics in my other post.

yes full integration is possible.
Mine is hooked up to a similar system coupled with GSM\GPS tracking.

Thats a cool idea, im trying to link up a clifford system in such a way that the brake pedal is required to be pressed 5 times before the car will start. I have done this on my Pontiac TransAM, but the Evo 7 is wired more tightly!
Any suggestions folks?

Does your mirrors fold when you set the alarm on? I'm trying to figure out how to do that.
^I will be happy as fukk if the Aspec Evos actually have power folding mirrors at all. I had a '97 JDM Galant VR4 with it and was so useful.

Not by default. I have found the evo with the mirrors folded so I dont know whether that was due to the alarm.

JDM and NZ spec ones do. Very useful!

^^ im glad to hear that evos come with these. Ill need to get some of those mirrors for my USDM Evo as i have a single car garage that is tight to get into. When you couple that with a new wider evo... its going to be scary!!

lol, you may need a bigger garage! But yes, the folding mirrors are a must!

Oh yeah, somethin' has been bothering me...
What audio system EvoX has been provided anyway? Did it use RockGate like Lancer GTS?

I know the RF system is an option, but apparently the default non RF speakers suck.
Might wanna start another thread about that though.
