Now available at TWM Performance, shifter extenders!

Brand new product available at TWM Performance are our 4” shifter extenders, made for different applications (Subaru, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi…) and engineered to accept both the factory shift knobs and aftermarket shift knobs.

TWM Performance shifter extenders are CNC machined in stainless steel.
Here is a picture of a 4” shifter extender installed on a Hyundai Elantra TWM short shifter, along with a stainless finish M1 Abrams shift knob:

Shifter extenders are the perfect addition for people who want to enjoy the precision and solidity of a short shifter, but keep the stock height, or even place the shift knob higher than stock. This is a great upgrade if you bring your car to the track for solo, lapping, auto-x or track racing. Less time spent between the steering wheel and the shifter = more time with both hands on the steering wheel. Combined with the throw of a short shifter and the extra mass of a weighted shift knob, this is the perfect combination for track days!

Extremely easy to install, our shifter extenders are available in the following thread sizes:

M10 x 1.5 (Honda/Acura)
M10 x 1.25 (Mazda, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, Nissan…)
M12 x 1.25 (Subaru, Toyota, Scion…)

If there is enough interest in our new shifter extenders, we’ll be looking at making them in different lengths as well as more finishes to match with our different shift knobs. The TWM Performance shifter extenders are available for $39.95 and also available in combo with any short shifters or any shift knobs.

You can place your order at the following link:

The only thing that held me back from getting the twm short shifter was that it was quite a bit lower than the stock shifter. With the twm extender how much taller is it than stock? Also in that video the extender looks like it eliminates the throw length between shifts so with this extender on the X what's the shift reduction at? (15%, 20%, etc.)

Thanks

Hi laxlude,

The reduction in throw of the TWM Performance short shifter is 30%. However it's important to note that most of this reduction comes from the relocated pivot point below the shifter, and not the length of the shifter shaft. That being said, the distance that your hand must travel from 1st to 2nd (for example) will be increased with a shifter extender, but it will still remain less than stock.

I also want to point out that we will be introducing some new sizes (both shorter and taller) in the coming month, so keep an eye out for those :)

TWM Performance LIVE CHAT!

Hello everyone,

At TWM Performance, we pride ourselves on our customer service which is second to none. We are continuously striving to think of new ways to better serve our customers and we’ve done it again with our new LIVE Chat feature!

Telephone calls are not always practical (we sometimes have a high volume of calls which leads to time spent on hold), and although we try our best to answer emails as quick as possible, conversations can sometimes drag out over a few days. This is never a good thing if you have a couple of quick questions, or just need some help asap. With our new LIVE Chat feature, you can chat with myself (Patrick) or Frank to get some instant answers or help with any of our products!

How to use our new LIVE Chat:

To be honest, it’s really easy. You simply log onto our homepage (www.twmperformance.com) and find the LIVE Support feature in the left column of the page. As of right now, Skype is the only chat program supported (so you will need a Skype account to use the feature), however we are working on supporting other programs such as MSN and Yahoo!

As always, if you have any questions or concerns about this new feature, or any of our products, feel free to contact us!

Thanks,

Patrick
