It is. As long as your stock and don't have an aftermarket clutch. Problem is we all don't know so you have to authorize basically 1k in labor for them to even check. Sucks but that how this evo game is played.

I am def not on a stock clutch but I had Mitsubishi install my aftermarket clutch for the sake of keeping my warranty A-OK. I am curious to see how it plays out. Right now, I am negotiating the price of the drop For the record, I got another mitsu dealer to do an entire clutch job for $850 labor.

The money isn't a issue as long as I know I am not getting rear ended up the wazoo. I'm not saying I am rich as I am far from that but I got wheels like 2-3 weeks ago and now this :P

Does Mitsu offer a loaner program? When I asked about one, they said they don't which I found a bit funny.

For none warranty work you get no loaner. I just had to pay 750 to get my trans dropped and have my clutch disc un sezied from my flywheel plus pp and FW resurfaced+new TOB and c clip. I just got my clutch 5k miles ago. I should have just got a carbonectics twin lol

750 dealer price or shop? I have a clutchmaster fx200. It's a kevlar clutch and I've never burned it. Maybe it's the pressure plate, who knows. I still have my stock pressure plate and throw out bearing lol. If it's plate, does it have to be replaced or does it need to be realigned, if that even makes sense.

I wish I had good news but unfortunately I am STILL waiting. I've been pretty cool about it but the dealer is honestly taking too long. I called yesterday and the guy at the service department said that their tech is NOW getting around working on it. Hopefully I have an update today as far as what went wrong. I already smell the bullshit to be honest.

I got a call today letting me know that the Clutch and Pressure plate are "frozen solid together." I'm not sure how this is possible but I'll be looking at it (and taking pictures tomorrow) Has anyone heard of this before?

look at post 26 what happened to you happened to me lolol.

sucky part is if while the car was in 3rd if you would have tried to stall it out it would have broke the clutch disc free. hind sight is 20/20 huh?

I threw in a new disc, resurfaced the fly wheel and PP, and bought a new TOB while i was in there.

fyi that issue is caused from over slipping the clutch after babying it for alot of miles. mine seized on the track on a 1.8 60ft after dailying it for 5 months in 80 miles of traffic a day.


Fail starts at 1:05

thats when mine seized. That one day cost me 1400 between getting the car home and fixing it.
