Its interesting that the 2010 and newer have a higher heat range than 2008 models. I also spoke with the technical support about the ceramic breaking and they say 100% without a doubt the plug was over torqued at some point. He said they have plugs in this same style and build in 2000+ hp dragsters and track cars without issue. Ngk does have a racing plug for out car the part # is r2556b-8 and r2556b-9 the last number being the heat range. The price on the racing plug is a little over 100 each. Remember torque is 10 to 14ft# I will error on the lighter side and torque to 11 or 12

Great customer service! Sent pm yesterday about 3:45, got a response in under 30mins. That was impressive enough, but then I received my spark plugs today! 7 hours after ordering!

The guy is right about the plug change. i called ngk as well and the guy was shocked when he pulled it up. i guess they went one hotter in 2010. not sure why, but for now i'm going to use the plugs you sent...

If you find out more info, please post it.

Edit- this will complicate things even more. I just changed my plugs and pulled out bkr8s...i have a 2010. Maybe mine is early 2010, or maybe the plug change was an afterthought that didnt spread back to '08. fun!

Sent using AutoGuide free, because I'm cheap
