stock evo trans @ 400-420 wtq, is it safe?

hello everyone

im new to this forum as i recently purchased my evo x, its completely stock for now however im in the process of building the engine to ~450-awhp as a DD and weekend track car. this includes a FP ported red turbo, kelford cams, valvetrain upgrade, aem water/meth, boltons, exedy twin plate clutch, fuel system etc
iv done alot of reading up on weak points of the car and the main issue people seem to have lies in the gearbox. If i go down the path of running that kind of power will i need to consider upgrading the transmission, center diff or any other drivetrain components?

i look forward to the input guys!

I dont live in the US so i dont think i can get my hands on shep or jacks transmission upgrades here in Australia. Would any local reputable performance transmission shop be worthwhile or do i need to find a evo trans specialist?

I don't think you should have problems from a torque standpoint based on all the other cars I've seen here. If you were doing drag racing, then yeah, you need some sort of reinforcement, especially with the diff. If road course and DD is your main activity, then you should definitely be fine at that level.

The only issue with teh trans that I know of is the diff pins.. Read about them.

And a ported FP Red might put you up at a powel level which I would not push the stock block to without upgrading pistons and rods. I would keep it around 400whp and 380wtq.. but thats my own opinion.

I have been pushing at least 400wtq for 20k miles, up to 460wtq...no issues. But one case doesn't mean much.

However I know many more people that never touch the trans besides clutch and diff pins and most never have problems.
