No different then when the evo 9 guys try and use evo 8 plugs in their cars. Which I've seen a few times my self aswell.
sorry no data logs and concrete facts, and I could just be superstitious but I personally don't like them

the reason i looked into these spark plugs was because while tuning my 2012 there were some oddities not seen on previous model years, mostly related to timing and knock. nothing extraordinary, just the inability to run the levels of timing others have on 93 before small counts of knock are detected.
began with small issues such as simply changing gas brands. there was no change so that was ruled out. next turned to spark plugs. i pulled the plugs, noted difference, called ngk to get advice.
i bought the older style plug hoping it was slightly colder and would allow for more timing but it really had little to no effect. in the end i just run less timing on 93 and sacrifice a bit of power chasing to have a clean knock free combustion in the sake of safety.
after the 2012 power variance thread, i am on the side that the cam profile is somehow different (smaller/less aggressive) and that would explain the inability to run as much timing before knock presents.
i'm in the middle of a few changes but once i get back on e85 and am happy with my tune, i will try to up the timing and try both plugs again to see if anything is apparent.
