Mr policeman was obviously out to get some ticket revenue since my record is clean and there wasn't another car anywhere near me at 11:30pm at night. I was very polite and told him I usually keep it around 5 over but knew it went up in speed very shortly and probably just mindlessly was speeding. Guess my clean record and polite demeaner didn't mean anything. Sucks but what can ya do. I just hope the insurance doesn't take too big of a hit. I'm tempted to drive up for a day since I have leave I have to burn before the end of the year to see if I can get it reduced or wiped clean. I'm sure the cop was thinking out of state youngish guy in a nice truck. He'll just pay and move on. May try to reschedule and see if he still shows up. Not how I wanted to end an otherwise good weekend with the family.

Anyone else have an interesting weekend?
Just saw this. That sucks. I thought though that if you got a ticket out of state that it didn't hit your insurance? ..or maybe I made that up? I assume you're licensed/insured in NC? I know it doesn't hit your insurance if you can get it knocked down to 5 over.

It's a well known fact though that VA doesn't mess around. That's the one state I won't speed in lol

I guess I'll find out about the insurance. I need to do some googling. Thing that pisses me off the most is the guy was set up right before the speed limit kicked up. Like 1/8 of a mile to 65 and another mile till 70. Same road, same conditions. At that point its all about the dollars.

lol just noticed that too.

So looks like all states share ticket info with each other but different states assign points differently so I need to check with the dmv to see if the points will transfer. Chances are my insurance won't change if the points don't show up. If they do I'll probably look to hire a lawyer to go to court for me so I can avoid having to travel plus it would reduce or eliminate the charge.

so did you enjoy your day off dan? must have gotten some ps3 time in with the weather being as shitty as it was. I'm glad I could just go downstairs and work instead of having to drive through it.

I'm sure this will come as no surprise, but I used my free day to wax the car. I washed it Saturday morning and then parked it in the garage all weekend. I spent an hour or so going over it w/ a shop light and a clay bar to get out all of the surface contaminents. There were way more than I anticipated. All in all though, considering the car is coming up on the 2 year mark, I'm pretty happy with the paint at this point.

Also, the supplies showed up this weekend for some maintenance items. I don't have a soccer game next weekend so I'm thinking I'll knock it out then.
