So I got the transmission and transfer case fluids changed today. Didn't have time to do the diff though so that's on tap for next weekend. Of course, the first thing to do was read the directions thoroughly:



That out of the way, I got the transmission fluid drained:







As you can see, it was pretty nasty. I went with the Redline mix again. It was pretty funny to see the new fluid which is colored red next to the old nasty fluid. I will say that I went for a drive afterwards and my second gear notch felt much better than it has it recent weeks which is not surprising given the state of the old fluid (which had less than 15k miles on it).

Next I changed the tcase fluid and went with the Diaqueen fluids:





The fluid was plenty nasty, but the plug wasn't terrible in terms of metal shavings. The only part of the whole day that was a PITA was getting off the undertray and then having to deal with the fluid pump for the tcase.

How did you like the smell of the diaqueen. That crap almost made me gag the first time I smelled it.
