I like my ACT HDSS ME1. Stock flywheel. Good grab and hold, not harsh. I get some mild chatter in 4 and 5 when decelerating.

It's definately a gear whine, you can hear it when accelerating and decelerating but if u let of the throttle just a bit so it's just maintaining current speed it'll go away

Interesting. But only during those two points of the rpm range? Like what about when you are cruising on the highway, say 70mph, right around 3100rpm in 5th, is the noise there?

Just cruising its not all that noticeable but as soon as you push on the pedal a little or let off it gets more noticeable, and at 5000rpm it's a bit louder than at 3000, you can kind hear it at different rpm but at 3 and 5 it gets the most noticeable and really loud at 5000

I'm surprised you can hear anything other than exhaust / engine noise at 5k rpm lol. I have one of the quietest catbacks and it's still pretty loud in the cabin that high

I have stock exhaust still! The gear whine is louder than the engine/ exhaust at that speed!

Update- Mitsubishi will not replace the tranny on warranty as I hoped they would,( due to not using oem fluid, used redline mt-90) instead they will first have to disassemble it and determine if its a part failure or oil problem( their way of making up shit so they don't have to warranty it) so I think I'm just going to wait a few months and then just get a jacks rebuild, instead of probably ending up paying more for a oem rebuild at the dealer, and then ill just put in a fidanza flywheel and probably go with a ACT HDSS clutch

You got suckered. They cannot make you use OEM fluid, I work at a dealer and they cannot deny you warranty for using other brand of fluid,
