I really don't know what your asking. I'm just stating the OP seems to be tire kicking. I can explain why if you want.

Dont go and ruin someon elses brand new gsr. If you dont trust yourself driving a manual. I would be pissed if I found out someone was doing tests drives in cars that are brand new not broken in. But yet people are out there learning in it. Thats why I love my local dealer. You dont even get to turn it on unless you havr either the cash in hand or credit. No tests drives until you buy...

Just remember stated before DRIVING FWD/ RWD IS NOWHERE NEAR THE SAME AS DRIVING AN AWD!!!!!!! I cant stress that enough. Have confidence and take it slow.. dont be stupid and selfish just because you want to feel an evos power. Take care of the car and it will take care of you

I think he was agreeing with your post, but his post was directed towards the OP.

Not true read the thread where people post their stock clutch mileage and power. Especially one of our mods joey. Hopefully he will chime in here.. he is living proof

Now you have me worried . Just kidding, I think pretty much, as long as you don't launch your car inappropriately and obviously don't dog your car to no ends, you should be fine. It would be great if you had a friend who could help you learn in their car, but if you really want an Evo, then don't pass it up and "settle" for a car you don't really want just because you can't drive manual yet.

Depending on your learning curve, learning manual can be a pretty pain free process. Now learning to launch for your first time is another story though

Well you stated you can't drive a manual transmission yet your going there to test drive it anyways. You got a HELL of a deal at $1500 under invoice on a 2013 but you come on the forum and want everyone to pat you on the back and tell you it's ok. My crystal ball isn't working today so I can't tell you what could or couldn't happen 5k or even 10k miles down the road. What I do know is if you can't drive a manual and your going to attempt to test drive it then that's kind of shitty.

In no way was I looking for a "pat on the back" but more of a reinsurance or confidence. But thanks for your opinion though!

theres really no point in test driving it if you dont know how to drive it. test drive the MR... and learn to drive in a friends old car before destroying the clutch. preferably a good driver that you trust.
