I get a pretty strong hit at spool up on cold days with the 6262 JB, I hate to know what that would be like on the 5858 on weak stock rods. You'd definitely need to tune that thing conservatively.

Seems that the 5858 doesn't really make more than 350wtq from what I've read

Maybe on this kit

I would bet money I could throw down 500+ wtq with it though

same. I'm debating between this kit and getting the ETS hotparts w/ 1.25" runner manifold. I already have a 5858 BB and the new tial mv-r 44mm I picked up for great deals off locals.

UT, do you know if the tial wastegate will fit on the AGP manifold flange? I believe their wastegate is compatible with 44mm flanges, so I'd imagine the reverse would be true as well.

Between the two kits, I like that the AGP wastegate is recirc, but I like the thought of the 1.25" ETS tubular and ability to have all v-band flanges. AGP wins on the cast / twinscroll part though. I wonder how much porting and coating the AGP manifold would help?

U can't fit any other wastegate but the agp on their turbo kit. I have one and my first wastegate was faulty so I asked them if I could go to my local tuner shop and buy a precision or tial wastegate and they said the flange won't fit. So I just waited for a replacement.

But did you actually TRY to mount another wastegate on there regardless?

I didn't try, but it's not like they have anything to gain if I used their wastegate or not though.

Plus I didn't want to buy another wastegate and be stuck trying to sell a new $300+ tial/precision wastegate

I guess someone else who wants to and has one laying around can confirm then.
