Also know that not all tires run true to size. Decide what tire you want to run, then find out if they run small, big or true to size then figure the appropriate one.

yea star specs run wide .... had no rubbing on my wrx with hankook tires switched to star specs and bam had to run .5 degree more negative camber

Wish we did. Im a big fan of coils for this and a number of reasons over springs. Coil provide a real upgrade, and you can adjust to clear your wheel. I rubbed on 265s on springs. Fucked up a nice set of tires the first time two buddies rode in the back.

unless you will be operating within a few mm of clearance most of us can tell you which models run large or not.
Ex: star spec 245/40 will be just a bit smaller than say a 265 RS'3.

Federal runs the same way.

guy i know has v12 275s on his x. I have PSS on mine i think mine look wider. Tire rack says the for a 275/35 the PSS have a 10" footprint where the v12 is the same size have a 9.5" footprint

My 265/35 PSS are at least a few mm larger than my RS-3's in the same size.
