i have a .45 already, 9mm cheaper ammunition and less mess to clean up in my house. outside they would deff get the acp!

Guns will always be available in some form or another (even if outlawed) and there will always be sick individuals who slip through the cracks in the mental health system. Asking me to give up my rights in the hollow hopes that it can prevent these problems is what I have an issue with. One of the things I'd like to propose is to prevent the media from making these shootings out to be the biggest story for the past month. It causes unnecessary hysteria and gets the whole nation looking for something to pin the blame on. I've seen plan crashes with 100+ fatalities get less airtime and publicity. Not to mention the 500 murders in Chicago this past year total more deaths than all mass shootings in US history (in a city with some of the most restrictive gun laws in the nation). Think about it, if I'm a deranged person wishing to go out with a bang what better than to kill several people then myself and get immortalized by the media as a monster. People are more likely to remember the attacker than the victims. The real kicker is we have tried the same legislation before yet people seem to forget that it didn't work the first time. Why is it going to be any different this go-around. Common sense is a rare commodity these days and it kills me on the inside to know that things
So you're saying you got nothing? You don't want to be part of any solutions - so you got nothing else to say.

Then don't complain when things happen - and they certainly will. Reminds me of the Republican's Job Package.

Curious that while some folks are still arguing the 9-vs-45 contest over the last 45 years, almost all police and the FBI have dropped both and now use either 10mm or .40cal.

Only reason they went .40 is because of that FBI shootout in the 80's. They wanted high capacity + stopping power because 6 round .38's had proven to be completely useless in the aftermath of that shootout. So .40 was the best middle ground after determining 10mm wasnt "as good". They havent looked back since. Im not sure why since there's alot more high-cap .45's these days, like the XD, FNP etc for example.

I could be completely wrong though, it's been a while since i read up on the development of the .40 round.

Oh well:\

One thing that stands out in my mind is with .45 acp you have a small freight train coming at you. It's personal choice but I'm all for .45
