First I want to apologize for being a newb but I'm confused by all these relays and colors. I have a 2011 Ralliart. All I know is what I currently have and maybe you guys can tell me what I need to do.

Here is a pic of my current relays (labeled with numbers for easy reference) with a shot of SSP new black relays superimposed on it (also numbered):

What I'm looking for is which black relay corresponds to which relay in my car?

Example: B1 replaces 3, B2 replaces 4, etc.

That way I can be sure I'm replacing the right ones in the right locations.

Thanks guys.

Thanks Jeremy. So what I'm gathering from that is:

B1 replaces 3
B2 replaces 4
B3 replaces 6
B4 replaces 8
B5 replaces 1

And I'm assuming that B1-B4 are interchangeable meaning it doesn't matter which of them I use, they all fit in the same slot and are the same type.

Is it also correct that the TSB only outlines replacing the MFI,starter, throttle and injector but we are replacing the fuel pump relay also because it is a known problem?

Last question, just to satisfy my curiosity, what do relays 2,5,7,9,11 and 13 do?

I ordered the SSP 5-pack set with 2 day shipping since I had a major issue starting my car yesterday.

- Yes
- Yes
- I'm honestly not sure, I don't have my Evo around today to look at what each one does. You should be able to flip the lid over and it'll tell you.
- Thanks for your order, we'll get them shipped out right away for you.

Successful Instal

Thanks again Jeremy. Received the relays and installed them successfully. Uploaded a few pics to show what they look like installed and the size difference between the new and old relays. Bigger and beefier, the new relays dwarf the stockers.

I thought I had a bad one of the new relays, but it turned out to be a false alarm. I had already taken it apart though. In case anyone is curious, here's what the new ones look like compared to one of the old blue relays. They're pretty similar, but the resistor mount is different which isn't too significant and the armature is a little different too.

The armature is interesting because the new black relays have beefier contacts on the armature. The bottom contact area when the relay isn't activated is a bit more substantial as well.

You can't really see it well in the photo, but the new black relay has a flat "landing pad" contact where the armature rests when the relay is deactivated. The older blue one just had a small metal tip that the copper arm rested on.
