Catless down pipe on an evo X??

Hey guys so i'm in a bit of a pickle I have a brand new AMS high flow cat sitting in my room waiting to be installed until now! I hear an exhaust that sounds absolutely fantastic not overly noisy but just right and bad ass! So I ask this guy is that a high flow cat he told me catless down pipe so here's my problem anyone have a catless downpipe for they're evo x and is it annoyingly loud. Catless down pipe or High flo cat?? Thoughts vids anything is super appreciated!

Re: Catless down pipe on an evo X??

No EvoX downpipe has a cat. Period.

He's probably referring to a test pipe (or cat delete pipe) versus a high flow cat. The test pipe is a lot louder than the HFC. You can look into a resonated test pipe if you want the flow of a test pipe with the loudness of a HFC

I could be wrong, but don't Subies have catted downpipes?

To the OP, was that guy you asked who had the great sounding exhaust actually driving an Evo X? Or something else?

yes they do actually the cat is part of the downpipe all one piece unlike us the downpipe is separate then it connects to the cat

That's what I thought and that's why I asked the OP what car that other guy was driving.... my first thought was that the other car was a Subie. Which is maybe why he's confused about the Evo X having a catted downpipe?

Yes I was wrong I just talked to my buddy it was a subby anyways new question anyone familiar with the resonated test pipe im looking for vids can't find to much. My problem is my buddy had the quad tip cobb exhaust with the high flow cat before i met him now he has alpha pkg he said their wasnt to much of a difference in sound slighty louger. Now if I switch up for the resonated test pipe i'm I just gonna get a fat ticket or will it be loud but not ridiculous?? I really appreciate the help guys thanks!
