Whats next??

Recently purchased a 08 Evo X , Wicked White with the SSS package, Got everything I want done to the car cosmetically at this point and just finished all my supporting mods. 850cc deatschwerks injectors, Walbro 255 fuel pump, front mount intercooler and hard piping , act 6 puck and new flywheel , turbo back exhaust, intake and modestly tuned. Problem is like everyone else , just need to go faster. Was thinking about doing a turbo up grade to a garrett twin-scroll gt3071r , Problem is i'm still running the stock block. I realize this will sooner or later cause something to fail and its alot more stress on the block than it would ever have stock. Just curious if im going about this the wrong way. Not trying to build a race car but do want to end up with a 400hp daily. Should I put money into the block first or do the turbo upgrade and a fresh tune.

Whats next??

Seems like you could hit around 360/380 hp/tq to the wheels with that setup at 26 lbs or so no? If not, with e85 you def can if that's an option for you

an easy 400whp and keeping the block stock, you dont need a gt3071r to do so, thats a little overkill in my opinion. with what you have now as supporting mods, an upgraded stock frame turbo can net you pretty close or even more than what youre looking for. you can also upgrade the cams too but its unnecessary. examples on stock frame turbos, an FP green or a bbx lite could get the job done. finding the right tuner very important. with that said, if you run e85 with moderate to aggressive mivec, you can achieve your goal easily without having to put a huge dent in your wallet.

E85 with those supporting mods will get you right around 400whp depending on the dyno

As long as E85 is easily accessible in your area, it's the way to go! Now if you have to drive half an hour just to fill up.. I'd think twice about E85 unless you feel like buying a 55 gallon barrel at a time

Lol trust me he's right it's a hassle but well worth it. Get yourself a poly. 55 gallon drum not metal and a pump then you are set.
