Matte Clear Plasti-Dipped WW Evo X

Damn that's so sick! I'd just be afraid of damaging the paint or the peeling not coming off right. I had my wheels plastidipped on my previous car 3 years ago and I let it stay like that for 3 whole years it held up great just touch it up any time you need to BUT when time came to take it off it wouldn't fully come off. A very very thin coat from underneath the peel stayed pretty much permanent on the wheels in a few small areas after peeling it off (which was NOT EASY, a couple hours per wheel). I'm not sure why maybe cuz I let it on too long but I would suggest peeling it every maybe 6 months or so and re-doing it to be on the safe side.

This look more agressive than the stock Wicked White. I like it. Good mod!

Since the DipYourCar.com place is close to my house I talked to them one day about the process. They said that if you do the whole car with a thick layer, and it hasn't been more than 6 months, it should peel right off.

More than 6 months and they spray the car with Goo Gone then power wash it off. Sounds a little sketchy to me, I hate Goo Gone, scares me, ha ha. But they showed me a car that had just had it's Platidip removed that way and it was fine. Clearcoat still looked great and no damage I could see. Plastidip was on for a year.

The only catch is that where panels meet and the gap is tight, like the rear 1/4 panel and rear bumper, you could still see a little Plastidip in the crack. If you just spray matte or clear over your stock color then no big deal I guess. This car was silver with residue of red in those cracks though :/ Kind of stood out since they changed the color.

If you get their touchup kit, it will soften the overspray and you can wipe it off with a microfiber cloth

Love it! Dip is the future

Just dipped my engine cover (changed the red to white) and gonna be dipping my wheels matte black.

It sucks that DYC.com can't sell the gallons to us Californians
