Make sure you put the XML file into the correct folder. It needs to be in your RomMetaData folder. Double check the folder that EcuFlash is pointing to for its definitions.
25MPG? I think I'm going to just switch to this one until summer. The only time I ever see 25mpg is if I reset the mpg on the highway and let off the gas for a bit.
B/c I've been digging through threads and saw that. Then saw the guy in this thread had a 526xxx18 and was trying to flash a xxx24 rom to the car without changing anything else. It made me wonder how that worked for him.
You can have a bad definition and still be able to flash a good rom to your car. It's when you want to start changing things on the good rom with a bad definition that you get into trouble. i.e. You change shit you shouldn't be changing.
Then something is wrong with your MAF scalings. I tune cars so that the Actual AFR and Map AFR are close. Not exact, but close. It really helps things run properly.
so... at the risk of opening an old thread - do i just copy and paste the changes i want then from the rom that i download? i dont want to open a new thread just to ask this when i see its kind of being answered in this thread...
im ready to flash, but i want to make sure that im getting the correct values changed and not changing too much - if that makes sense...
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
