Updates: yes it fit perfectly , sit nicely in the oem box space.

Tried it on my friends evo w/stock maf housing and k&n cone filter . It Fits perfectly and the idle is like stock.

Will do custom tubing to bring the cobb filter ahead little and we will see.

That looks pretty good. I fabricated my own that looks very similar out of some stainless steel. Definitely worth the time and effort.

I bought one as well. I plan to seal off the majority of the box so the only air it gets is from outside through the dam.

had the idea .. but that shield just work fine .. the idle is stable .. this with the oem maf housing and K&N cone fillter.
