AEM Electronics Fuel pumps: AEM’s 320lph E85-Compatible High Flow In-Tank Fuel Pumps feature robust internal construction that is designed to withstand the low lubricity characteristics of ethanol and methanol fuels, and are tested to work with ethanol fuels up to E100, methanol fuels up to M100 and all types of gasoline. The AMS EVO X Fuel Rail provides increased fuel flow which is necessary at higher boost levels. This CNC’d aluminum rail comes anodized in Red or Black and includes our signature AMS logo. With a -6AN (7.5 mm) diameter inlet and outlet it dwarfs the stock rail by over 25% in flow area. This is true bolt on part that will install with your factory fuel lines, fuel pressure regulator and will work with all factory style fuel injectors.

Included in our kit is a -6AN braided fuel feed line that increases fuel flow by 25%. Our line also makes your car safer by eliminating the hard factory fuel feed line that can crack over time from engine vibration.

Radium Fuel Surge Tanks: A fuel surge tank (FST) is designed to prevent fuel starvation to the engine on vehicles with inadequate fuel tank baffling. The FST fuel pump(s) directly feed the fuel rail(s). The volume of fuel inside the surge tank acts as a buffer to always keep the FST pump supplied with fuel. This volume is maintained by the main fuel tank's pump as well as the fuel returning from the fuel pressure regulator. Excess fuel in the surge tank is returned back to the vehicle's main fuel tank.

The surge tank also provides a quick and easy way to upgade any standard fuel system without the need to modify the stock fuel tank or pump. This is an excellent fueling solution for vehicles installing large fuel demand power upgrades such as forced induction.

Radium Evo X Fuel surge tank install kit: This comprehensive installation kit includes everything needed to install a Radium fuel surge tank with a single 39mm fuel pump or a Bosch 044 fuel pump in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X. The kit was NOT designed to work with the Radium MPFST or RHD EVOX models that use the large OEM windshield washer reservoir (check your reservoir before ordering).

All Radium FSTs are CNC machined from aluminum. They are fully anodized and use PTFE insulated wiring, submersible hose, etc. to make them alcohol (ethanol/methanol/E85) compliant. The Mitsubishi Evolution X install kit locates the FST in a collision-safe area, centered behind the rear seat but in front of the plastic paneling in the trunk. This allows 100% of useable trunk space as the panel goes back on after the install. The powder coated aluminum bracket secures to OEM mounting bosses so no drilling or cutting is necessary. Furthermore, the OEM battery and windshield washer fluid bottle are retained and do not need to be relocated.

Also included are wiring components with flying leads featuring Raychem solderless butt splices, and a weatherproof fuse and relay to drive the FST's fuel pump. Wiring is very simple and takes less than 30 minutes to assemble. No soldering is required.

Included are 4 PTFE hoses which are cut to length and preassembled. PTFE hose is perfect for all types of fuel, especially with high alcohol contents, such as ethanol (E85). Unlike standard rubber hose, PTFE is non-permeable and eliminates any possible fuel vapor smell in the vehicle. Radium PTFE hoses use anodized aluminum hose ends and are cut-to-length specifically for this application. The inner stainless steel braid resists extreme fuel pressures and is covered with black PVC which gives the hose added protection from debris and provides abrasion protection. Supplied in -6AN size only.
The suppled -6AN hoses intergrate with the stock fuel lines, they do not completely replace all stock fuel lines.

Radium Evo X Fuel rail kit: The EVO X Billet Fuel Rail features a large 0.69" ID bore to suit even the most fuel hungry engines. The rail is CNC machined from solid 6061 aluminum and black dipped anodized for a high quality surface finish. It is compatible with all fuel types including popular alcohol mixtures such as E85.

The Radium fuel rail is the first and only on the market to support an (optional) fuel pulsation damper. The opening and closing of the injectors creates pressure pulses in the fuel rail, which can lead to unstable fuel pressure. In order to achieve a safe and consistent rail pressure, a pulse damper should be used (especially with high flow injectors). The internal diaphragm will absorb oscillation pulses and stabilize fuel pressure. This correction can be measured throughout the RPM range and can often help an erratic surging idle.

The fuel rail's inlet port on the left hand side of the vehicle uses -8AN ORB (3/4-16 O-ring) threads which accepts a variety of adapter fittings for custom high flow fuel system builds. The opposite outlet port on the right hand side of the vehicle has 3/8" NPT female threads which permits the use of the stock FPR (using optional adapter) or the optional pulse damper, as described below. Alternatively, -AN adapter fittings can be purchased HERE. The top port also uses -8AN ORB (3/4-16 O-ring) threads.

INLET PORT: 8AN ORB (3/4-16 O-ring) (Can be adapted to any -AN hose size)

OUTLET PORT: 3/8" NPT (Used to install fuel pulse damper or use adapter for OEM pressure regulator or adapt to -AN hose fitting)

TOP PORT: 8AN ORB (3/4-16 O-ring) (Plug or install pressure gauge/adapter or adapt to -AN hose and use as a feed/return port or install fuel pulse damper)

A unique magnetic circuit, resulting from a lengthy development program, makes the ID1700 immune to voltage and pressure sensitivity problems that plague other high impedance high flow injectors. The ID1700 excels at high pressures typical of current automotive systems, and will perform flawlessly in these applications.

APPLICATION NOTES

The ID1700 was designed to be an all fuel compatible injector, capable of very high flow rates. As such, it will most often be used to deliver E85 to boosted engines, or occasionally, gasoline in extreme high horsepower applications. Neither of these applications requires extended linearity at low flow rates, and so this was given a proportionately lower priority during the design process.

The ID1700 will deliver flawless stoichiometric idle and cruise mixtures on E85, but like the ID2000, should not be expected to do so on gasoline.

If you need flawless drivability on gasoline, the ID1300 will provide this, and is capable of approximately 150hp per injector on E85.
