Evo x FE panasonic Fuel Pump Relay

Hello, Iam a new Evo owner and iv recently started to get paranoid about my Fuel pump relay after reading through some forums posts of people running lean due to a faulty relay. After hours of looking through forum posts i haven't been able to find a clear answer so i will ask it here if anyone is kind enough i would greatly appreciate it!

1. Is the 2015 FE (Panasonic) Fuel Pump Relay reliable?

2. I took out the Relay twice without disconnecting the battery did i damage the relay?

3.Are there any symptoms that let you know when the relay is bad?

Thanks, DG

Why did you need to take the relay out?

I've been running the new Panasonic relay for 2 years with no issues. I change the relay every year. I don't disconnect the battery before I change it either.

So if you have the newer Panasonic relays, there is no need to get the SSP relay package?

That's been a topic of discussion before with no clear answer. I chose to go with latest offered by Mitsubishi. To be safe, change which ever relay you go with every year.

The SSP- Relay package is on Sale

Not sure if this is overkill for the 2015 EVO X models.....
