I was wondering with my 3582r twin scroll, if I ran E85, would a walbro 255 in tank and a walbro 255 in line be good enough or would I need more? I don't know how much boost I would run, but I know it would be around 35psi. This is something that is far away from now, but I wanted to get an idea what all would be required. Also, I have 1000cc injectors. Would I need bigger? I would also have Kelford stage 2 cams unless something better comes out (don't think that will happen for a while).
Also, another small question on the side; would the dual fuel pump setup work like a surge tank since AMS said they won't come out with one for our cars due to our car's design and the fact you would have to have it in the cabin?
im looking for 1000cc deuchwerks injectors or how ever you spell it if you have them i may be interested. currently i have a 255 intank with a 35r twin scrool agency power kit. and my 750cc's maxed out lol. let me know pm me. other than that im going with a whole aeromotive setup the 1000hp one. but i hve close to 500whp now and the one 255 i have is fine with keeping up with my fuel demands so far.
Granted I am speaking from a dsm experience but I have a intank 255 and a inline 255 with 1600's on e85. It is sitting around 470awhp@28psi. My injectors are not close to being maxed currently but I want to forewarn you that if you run the pumps in this setup be prepared to be replacing the intank pump on a somwehat regular basis. I don't know exactly why but for somereason having the inline pump somehow puts some extra wear on the intank pump and causes it to fail rather quickly.
Excalibur, just look at TTP's testing on the new 2400cc injectors. THey are running a 35r on e85. I think they just maxed their first fuel pump and are going to dual pumper.
Ok, with the injectors, what size would I need for the e85 and who makes them? I would prefer plugnplay, but if nobody has them, I may have to wait and I'm fine with that. I'm not rushing. I still have to do the diff, build the block and get my cams. Hell, I might even port the head while I'm at it. I think the car may become a project car only soon. I will strip it and sit it in the garage for the fun times only.
Off topic question: AMS, are you going to be making the surge tanks? You told me on the phone one time no, but I would like to see about making one. Design Craft Fabrications made one for the sti that is under the hood. What about a design like that? Or would the dual setup perform similar to that and suffice for side-to-side g's?
The short answer is yes. As you probably know the 35r is probably going to top out right around 700hp. The in tank walbro 255 should be good to about 500 the in line should more than make up for the limits of the in tank pump. You will probably be pushing the limits of the duty cycle on your injectors with e-85 but yes you should be able to max out your turbo with that setup.
