i am gonna add my 2 cents here. I have had my evo for 2 months now coming from a 04 wrx with 07 sti turbo intake tbe ecutek reflash and tuned about 290 whp. The car was pretty fast and would pull on stage 2 STi's pushing around the same 300whp. I would say my evo with a k&n filter is right on par with the wrx doesn't pull as hard, but with any mods will be faster than the wrx was.

I also messed around with my friends 05 STi stage 2 which is TBE and a tune. I was following him somewhere and was right on his tail. All I have is a K&n drop in filter.

for some reasonit just seems like to me that the wrxs are pretty slow. maybe its just that they dont take as well to mods as the evo does?

I have run many of wrx's and sti's and the only one ive lost to was a bug-eyed sti with intake, turboback, FMIC, piping, and a Gt3076R on 26 psi and only lost by 3 cars.

Ive never been so excited to lose. Im gonna get a famous MZM tune then see if i can get another run.

BTW. Thw scooby responds to mods just fine it just that they lose ALOT of power through the drivetrain. 400whp sti to 400whp evo the sti will come by at about 120+. Those scoobys have a nasty 4th gear. Will post video link to proof.

i play around with a wrx today. not sure if its a wrx or sti it has the small wing. dont kno what he has but i could see it has a exhaust. that subaru was not slow. it took me until 4th gear to catch up. those subaru seems like they take off faster. Also i have one extra person in the car that weights 180lbs. does that make a huge different?
