Transfer Case Fluid Change

Has anyone changed their transfer case fluid yet? Did you have to go to Mitsubishi for this since it involves bleeding the system.

wat.

I just changed the fluid.

If I understood it, only the ACD needs bleeding...

But now I'm confused, since the Service Manual does have instructions for bleeding the TCase...

How's the car running? Anything different? Anything affected? Any info is greatly appreaciated as I don't want to shell out $175 to Mitsubishi. And that's just for Transfer case service only.

It runs great, no problems at all. I changed Tranny fluid too and shifting is improved.

I'm a little concerned about bleeding as I see the "How to Bleed" in the service manual, but it doesn't say when to. As far as I can tell, it isn't required.

I just called up Iveytune, in NJ and he said there is no bleeding. Just a drain/fill.

To confirm any specalation anyone has about changing their transfer case. There is no bleeding process. The bleeding is for the ACD only. I changed the the gear drivetrain over the weekend and the car feels great as far driveability from before. Just to let anyone know when they are going to change the rear differential there are 2 drain plug. Be CAREFULL 1 is for the AYC and the other is for the differetial. It is labeled just read. It might be coverd with dirt or whatever you've driven thru.

I was confused for a bit on that also. Directions said bleeding procedure and I was like.
Mitsu could have made that a little clearer!

I went with the Diaqueen. I bought a big jug, give me a shout if you want to grab a little bit from me. You only need <1 litre. Curtis will be doing the same at some point.
