Another Ticking thread

Hey guys im relatively new here and recently purchased a 2010 PB GSR. The car currently has 1,500 miles on it and no engine mods. As of fairly recently i began to hear a loud ticking come from underneath the hood on the drivers side centered just below the "upper boost tube" that elbows downward to the intercooler. I'm aware the injectors can be loud based on some reading but wanted to get the forums opinion. I took a picture of where the noise seems to be coming from. I believe it is this spot because i pinched the tubing before and after what seems to be a "check valve" and the best way to describe what i feel when the tube is pinches is like a putter of air going put put put put put through this tube almost in sync with the ticking? Attached is the area maybe someone can tell me what this valve or the tube im pinching is?

I am going to say it's the injectors given the area you say it is coming from. For some it is hard to tell the difference in sound between the valvetrain and injectors, but a video will help with the confusion. I just went through a ticking ordeal with my car and had to get parts replaced.

I've had a similar issue with ticking from my car and I swear its an exhaust valve HVA, i took it to the dealer twice for the issue and they found that it is a resonace through the heatshield on the exhaust manifold intermittently. Just for the heck of it I removed the shield while it was ticking and sure enough it went away, back on and I hear the tick again. I dont pay much heed to it anymore, unless of course it gets louder.

I started hearing a very loud tick from this same area today. It seems to be causing the hood to vibrate which makes it sound really bad when the hood is closed. But the noise is centered directly where OP has shown. On the very front right of the engine when looking under the hood.

I video taped it. Sorry you can't see much... it was night.

go passed the first 20 seconds or so to when I pop the hood and do you still think it sounds horrible?

The noise freaked me out at first too but then I realized the vibrations were causing something in the hood latch mechanism to make that crazy noise. I repeatedly opened and closed the hood to make sure that noise was coming from the hood itself.
