I stand corrected. Did not know there was a way to get the steering wheel controls to work. As far as the bluetooth & gps I knew from reading people who have installed the oem navi after buying the car w/o it had to rip apart the whole dash to bury the antennas for bt & gps. I just assumed that would be the same.

I had the OEM navi. Most of the tuners now have built in bluetooth, so it's in the head unit itself, which is nice. Yeah, you have to put the GPS antenna somewhere, most people mount it high on the windshield. A little creative cable routing through the fuse box, up the pillar and above the roof liner isn't tough. The first time it takes a little bit to figure out the best way to go, but do it a couple times and it's remarkably easy. I was surprised just how easy the Evo's headunit is to get in/out, too. Practically nothing to it!

i freakin HATE the plastic bezel you get for the double din stereo. the fit is garbage. it leaves a gap at the top thats very unsightly. it pisses me off to look at it.
my gps antenna is mounted on the trunk. perfect signal all the time. i really love the phone option too. works perfectly with my iphone and it connects smoothly and quickly.

I bought my car with a Avic F90BT and am debating if I should replace it with a newer Avic or change brands. The guy who does all my electrical in my car said he likes Pioneer because they are reliable and he's had very little problems with them but then again his store he used to work in dealt pretty much with Pioneer only.

My GSR came with a Pioneer AVIC-Z2 installed in it. The previous owner had the bluetooth module installed as well. I am able to use all of my steering wheel controls and make phone calls through it.

The only issue I have had with it is when I put in DVDs, sometimes it won't eject them for a couple days.
