EVO X Clutch Master Cylinder Upgrade

NOW AVAILABLE IN Right Hand Drive configurations (labelled RHD in the drop down menu) We also can provide OEM master cylinders for our overseas customers
We have seen even stock EVO X's under spirited driving blow up the master cylinder, our latest design addresses this issue. If you are using a stage 2 clutch your master cylinder will become an issue.
The problematic EVO X plastic clutch master cylinder problem is finally solved.
We engineered a solution that anyone can install with simple tools that everyone has in their garage.
No need to remove the pedal assembly to cut the ball joint, our kit supply's you with all of the accesories to bolt in an aluminum master cylinder from the evolution 8/9, with a billet ball joint attachment so you don't have to cut off the original pedal ball joint and drill to accommodate a heim joint.
Also the pedal height is now completely adjustable, and it can be done very quickly and easily. All you do is break the jam nut screw remove the clip, pull off the balljoint and thread to your desired clutch pedal height.
A braided stainless steel line replaces the original line in vehicle. A must have upgrade if you are installing an upgraded clutch of any type, so you are not left stranded with no clutch!
Note: In order to alleviate Backorders of this part, the actual clutch master cylinder is now sold separately or you have the option to purchase it from us.
Part number is MR491945, You should be able to source it from your local Mitsu Dealership. If you would like to purchase it from us with your kit please select it from the drop down menu, it will be added to the final price
If you would like one shipped to you try contacting www.jnztuning.com in USA for your OEM master cylinder

To order, simply PM us here, email marco@magnusmotorsports.com or direct order through our website.

Magnus CMC Height adjustment questions look here!

Here is how you perform a height adjustment properly on a Magnus CMC kit.

Lets take into account you have it all installed and bled properly, now you need to 'fine tune' your pedal preference.

The height adjustment is very simple. You don't need to do any other adjustments to anything else, its engineered to bolt right it.
This is why we have made it with a 2 piece clip. I understood that it was a complete fuckin pain in the ass to adjust the clutch. Hence the clip and the following procedure.
First pat yourself on the back, Good thing you bought a Magnus kit, because with the other bootleg kit out there you wouldn't be able to do this, you'd be in there with a prybar popping balljoints, and bloodvessels.

Here is the correct way to adjust your clutch.
  • 1. back off the jam nut and thread it back a few turns, remove the clip and simply push the ball joint off the pedal.
  • 2. With your hand in there, adjust which direction you want your clutch to go, clockwise for lower, counter clockwise for higher. Take into account if you are on your back, this may appear backwards. Pretty simple if you dont like it one way go the other way.
  • 3. Install the ball joint back on the ball, DO NOT INSTALL THE CLIP YET.
  • 4. Get off your back and get in the seat, depress the clutch. Do you like it? Does it feel proper? if this is good for you, depress all the way and make sure it engages your start safety switch. (make sure its out of gear first, smart guy ) Simply put your foot down on the clutch and start the car. If the car doesn't start your adjustment is wrong, you need to turn the balljoint on the CMC clockwise to bring your pedal further down to engage the switch
  • 5. Does it work? Does it repeat? Does it feel good? If so, shut off the car, get on your back and slide off the ball joint and then install the clip. Tighten the jam nut, doesnt have to be super tight, just tight enough.
  • 6. YOU ARE DONE!

Also if any one wants a sweet tip on how to install it without having to do any grinding of studs, just ask me. It will get you a nice clean install like this, and save yourself about an hour. Notice no grindmarks? Of course not! Because if you buy it from the originators, we'll tell you how to do this the easy way!.

Think of the poor grinding discs of the world. Save a grinder, buy a Magnus.

The grinderless methods will be discovered eventually by those traveling in the experience wake. Let's me a cool video and show how it can be done, documenting the awesomeness from the source.

Of course mine is already done, making it hard to make a video of.
