Well folks.......Black is Back, and cheaper then ever !!
![]() Now for those of you who are like...WTF Jeremy!....Really.....ANOTHER relay package to buy..... Let me explain. To make a long story short, Mitsubishi was NOT happy with the extremely high failure rating on the "Original Green Relays, "old Black relays", or the "Newer Blue relays", so they had OMRON (Relay Manufacture) come out with a better relay, with a much lower failure rating, and here we are today. For those of you who are not familiar with the Relay situation, please take a minute to read the original TSB about swapping out the relays I've linked below in the 2nd post, along with a detailed picture on exactly which relays to swap out, were they are located at, and how to tell if your relays are bad. We have 100's of the new black relays in stock and ready to ship. - Relay Package: (4 Black/1 Grey) $65.00 + S/H Link to website: http://www.sspperformance.com/produc...relay-package/ - Single Black Relay: $7.98 + S/H Link to website: http://www.sspperformance.com/produc...relay-package/ *** Link to Thread about Fuel Relay Failures: http://www.evoxforums.com/forums/sho...uel+pump+relay .

Link to TSB about relays:
https://docs.google.com/fileview?id=...ZGQzMWVi&hl=en -If I have green or blue relays do I need to change them out??? If you live in a warm climate, then no they are fine, but if you live in a colder climate then yes swap them out. If you are paranoid about it then just change them!!!! Any electrical part can fail and will over time, some are just built better and last longer. -How can I tell if my relays are bad??? Do the "salt shaker" test!!!! Just shake the relay and if you hear the components moving around and sound like a salt shaker, then the relay is bad or going bad/weak. Our black fuel pump relay failed the salt shaker test!!! -What does the new MFI relay do??? It is the Multport Fuel injection relay and controls the pulsing of the injector during idle, cruise, and WOT. If this relay goes bad or quits working your car won't start. -What does the throttle actuator relay do??? It control the solenoid on the throttle plate and allows the throttle blade to move when you hit the gas pedal, if this relay goes bad, you will likely get a limp mode code or the car will idle strange, or not start at all. -What does the starter relay do??? It controls the starter solenoid to engage the starter, if this relay goes out, you can't start your car. -What does the injector relay do??? It controls the injector duty cycles during all forms of operation, idle, cruise, WOT. If this relay goes bad, you will likely get a limp mode code and could cause no start or lean conditions. -What does the fuel pump relay do??? It controls the high to low pulse on the fuel pump during cruise to WOT operation. If it fails then you will run dangerously lean and could cause serious damage to your motor. ***Well that about sums it up, if you have any other questions, I will see what I can do. Best advice is to invest some money in a wideband, it will let you know when things start to go south so you can pull over and turn the car off. A wideband should be everyone's first mod!!!!! .

We had a couple back orders on the blue's while we were waiting for the new blacks to come in. Kris is sending out the newer blacks for those customers. Customers that recently bought blue relays from us, I'm sorry, but we are not able to take/exchange them for the new blacks. -Jeremy .

So the ones that just got shipped out this morning will be these ones? What about the 10 or so extra bucks for the ones that were purchased? I got an email saying mine were shipped. I think you were the guy I emailed and the sales guy responded saying it was shipped.
