A 1911 vs a FiveSeven? Two completely different guns with pros and cons that don't match either in my opinion.

The question you need to ask yourself first is what the purpose of the pistol will be.

Uhh, apples and oranges. Kimber is a heavy super smooth easy to shoot large caliber low mag size weapon, with cheap easy to find ammo. The FNH is a super super light (you will not believe how light this thing is) less smooth but still good, small caliber, high muzzle velocity, high capacity weapon, which is STUPID accurate, but takes a bit of practice to use well. Ammo is priced at about 22-28 dollars for 50, and is being offered more and more places all the time. Neither is small. CCW they aint. If you are looking for fun to shoot or home defense you cant really go wrong with either. A trail gun? You can wear the 5.7 in a drop all day and never know its there. Dunno. Its a draw. I guess the depending on what its for the nod might go to the 5.7 for a 20 mag or 30 round extended mag in a pistol. Stopping power is a stupid comparison for anything other than zombie dogs on PCP. I dunno. None of that helped, im sorry. LOL.

Oh and the FNH is ambidextrous for the south paws.

You can CCW both. I'm 6'2" and 190lbs. I can OWB either one with a 5.11 button up and no printing. My buddy carries his 1911 the same way. The only gun I have an issue with is my Sig P229 because they are THICK framed guns.
