Was there a noticeable performance difference just adding the catback? I am almost ready to pull the trigger on this but would be dissapointed if there was no difference in feel and if it sounds the same as stock. Videos are tough to hear the difference. I only have a drop in K&N.

If you researched, you would find that a catback on our cars nets very little to no hp gains.

I just installed a catback yesterday for the sound and not because of any potential power games.

Catback does not do much for power, the cat is the most restrictive piece. I love my magnaflow though the drone does get to me sometimes, it especially annoys anyone in the back seat. I did sand off the 'Magnaflow' on the exhaust tips as I'm not a fan of running a American muscle car brand exhaust on my import. But thats just me.. I also got it the Magnaflow for cheap.

Cutting the 2.5" flange and welding on a 3" flange is a must for those aftermarket TP, catted TP guys with this exhaust. Why put in all that money for your high flow downpipe and tp when it's just going to bottle neck after the cat. Only costs $25-50 to do it. I highly recommend to compliment this great exhaust system.

I can almost garauntee this neck down is not showing any significant power loss. Its been discussed before a few times and until its proven to be a problem, why hack up your new exhaust system?

Its a fittment issue more than anything. 3" aftermarket TP to 2.5" catback. I've used adapters in the past for this and they work but it's not that clean. It has been discussed before but I'm a believer that it does make a slight difference. MAP sells this exhaust with the 3" installed to you at your door. Looks factory.

I'm also starting to consider this exhaust. There aren't many vids of the magnaflow on the X but the in the ones i found you can barely hear the exhaust, is it that quiet? I want some sound, but not overly loud.

I have and what I have found it there are gains in just adding a catback system. At least that is what some people say. Some also say the system drones and others say it does not. What catback did you install? Did you feel any difference in performance afterwards?

The gains are small before you swap the cat for something better. The butt-dyno lies, sounds and feelings arent objective.
