Ladies and gents,

EvoXForums.com will be sponsoring our Fifth Annual Car Show & BBQ! We are trying to make this show as big as possible, as we expect people to be travelling a bit to make it to this event. This year we are hosting the event in a new location.

It will be held on Sunday, October 7th, 2012 from 12PM until 6PM. Mark your calendars now! It is taking place at Lake Lenape East park. Mays Landing NJ is about 1 hour from Philadelphia, PA, and about 1.5-2 hours from New York. It is also about 25 minutes from Atlantic City, so those of you who are travelling from far away to come out, you can always come out a day early and have a weekend getaway.

The cost of the meet will be paid for by the forums, so it will be FREE to all of our members. HOWEVER, the park may charge a ~$5 entry fee PER CAR.

There will be plenty of food and beverages available all day long. Again, these will be free for our members. I do need to note that the park rules state that no alcohol is permitted, so please don't bring any. Also, dogs are not allowed in the park.

We are still planning our list of activities, but expect a judged car show and a few other activities. We are also inviting our Approved Merchants to attend and set up booths if they wish to do so.

All makes and models of cars are welcome to attend, so long as the people who show up in them are Evo X enthusiasts. Don't feel left out if you don't have an Evo X or an '08+ Lancer, we'll be more than happy to have you. Feel free to bring any guests as well.

I do have to ask that everyone respects the park and refrains from doing burnouts, drifts, etc. Just remember that you are representing our forum. We seem to be a mature crowd, so I don't expect any of that to be an issue.

Since we will have a pavilion, this show will be RAIN OR SHINE!

Tentative Activities:

-Judged Car Show - If you are going to be showing your car, please check in by 1PM. Judging will begin at 2PM. We are going to be tougher on the judging this year, so I want to see your car at it's best.
-Car Pictionary
-Merchant booths - (bring some bucks!)
-Food - Hot dogs, hamburgers, baked goods, etc.
-Raffle - Win prizes donated by our Approved Merchants!
-Hot dog eating contest

I'll be ordering up some nice trophies very soon. Also, if you plan on showing, please note it next to your name!

Also - We need dedicated people this year to capture this event and do a little video and photo editing. Pictures of people, cars, separate pictures of the winning cars, videos of the events, etc all need to be captured!

Car show categories are as follows:

-Best Evo X Engine Modifications
-Best Evo X Exterior
-Best Evo X ICE / Interior
-Best Evo X Dyno sheet!
-Best Mitsubishi (non Evo X)
-Best non Mitsubishi
-Spectator's Favorite Car

Ok, here's our rough schedule of the day - Remember, this event is RAIN OR SHINE!

Remember the event goes from 12 noon until 6PM.

Noon - 1PM: Event sign-in and check-in for the car show. If you are showing your car, we ask that you please arrive before 1PM. The earlier you arrive the better, so you are guaranteed a premier spot and ample time to detail your car.

12:30PM - 4PM: BBQ time!

12PM - 4PM: Vendor booths will be open.

1:30PM - 1:45PM: Hot dog eating contest!

1:50PM - 2PM - Group photo.

2PM - 3:30PM: Car show judging

5PM - 5:30PM: Trophies!

5:30PM - 6PM: Photos, goodbyes, cleanup, and GTFO.
