all season tires?

Anyone used a specific all season tire that did well in light snow? Looking to ditch the summer tires here shortly. Ive done some research on tire rack but one person seems to love a tire, another hates it

I can't speak from personal experience, but most people like the Conti DWS tires. Why not just get some dedicated winter tires?

Personally I would have a dedicated se of true winter/snow tires but plenty of people rock the all seasons in light snow. A simple search will tell you what folks are running on the Evo.

i have the conti DWS's on stock wheels and love them. Had them a little over a year now, virtually no wear, granted i do about 8k miles per year. I'd say if you dont need a dedicated winter tire, these are a great all year round tire. Only negative, which i think you will hear from other owners is that they have a soft side wall. You are going to get less grip and turn in going from a summer to all season, which should be expected, but i have heard people complain about this. My car has no issues in light or heavy rain or light snow. The winter was light last year so no heavy snow to comment on.

I decided I didn't care to switch wheels back and forth anymore, so I put some Continental DWS' on my Gram Lights. My car is daily driven and they have pretty decent dry grip in the summer...certainly not a summer only tire, but really not bad. I will say this, with our all wheel drive, these tires are awesome in the snow, even in deep snow we get here sometimes...these things grip and go, pretty close to a dedicated snow tire. DWS is definitely the best of both worlds for a mostly street driven, year round Evo.

When I had my IX I used conti DWS tires on it and loved it. Not too bad in the snow up here in the Wyoming/Colorado area. I will more than likely get them for my X this season.

I know, right.....just horrible, I might slide right off the onramps since I don't have racecar grip. I also run my Rays Gram Lights, that took 4 months to get to me straight from Japan, during the long, snowy and salty winter...the world might just end today
