Question Price on 2013 MR

Hey guys been looking into getting a 2013 loaded MR.

My credit union said AutoNation can find me a car & they (Autonation) said the Cosmic Blue & Wicked white are the hot sellers & Mitsubishi are not negotiating on price. So the price was $45,932.00 does not include tax licence etc fees, w/all that total would be $50,532.00.

Does this seem like the going price? Just curious.

Thank you.

Why would you let someone else negotiate price for you? Call up a dealership and ask to speak to the sales manager, tell him you want to buy a fully loaded new MR and you're looking to work off invoice as a baseline, go to dealership and haggle, fin

-Contact your local dealership

-get Pre approved for a loan, the. Get it whereever you want

Look into it yourself, like edmunds, cars .com etc

Not to knock you, but if you aren't willin to do the work, then you derserve what you get.

For perspectic, I got the first 2010 EVO MR Touring delivered to the north eastern seaboard, and I did not pay sticker

It's all about who what you know, what you know you can afford AND need, and working with a dealer who will work with you. And the experience of purchasing/negotiating over a dozen cars new for yourself, family and friends doesn't hurt.

Are you wed to that credit union? Otherwise I think you already know its not the best deal, otherwise you would have already jumped on it. It is a niche car (read low volume compared to civics and lancers, a sports car, and new, so they aren't giving them away, but I never have payed fulll retail on a car, and probably never will

I just saw you are in Cali. Call south Coast Mitsubishi, ask for Sam or Internet sales, and buy it/drive it home. You can thank us later, and we already bested your credit union's "best offer" of full msrp :P

This X10000000.

Sam was selling brand new 2012 GSRs for a ton off MSRP. I'm sure he can cut you a deal on the MR too

Thanks guys,
It's not that I am not willing to look, my C.U. told me it was an easier way to get a car, don't have to hassle w/a dealership etc & would save some $$. I do not think it is a deal @ all IMO.

I have heard of C.U.'s getting fleet pricing & saving people $$ so I thought I would just look into it, does not hurt to look, right?

I have been trying to get some "no hassle free quotes" (according to KBB website) over the internet from Mitsubishi dealers & all they ever say is, when can you come in?

I tell them what color what options, they all have the info needed to give me a quote &-----

Non, can even give me a quote through an email.

Just a little frustrating.

I hate buying cars and I afraid that you might be totally screwed. I bought my 2011 MR with the premium package in August 2011 in Concord and got it, with tax and license, for about MSRP (a bit over $40K). The asking priced was way over MSRP (~ $42K). Admittedly, my wife (the negotiator) helped a lot. Problem is that Evos are rare at nor-cal dealers. You’ll probably get a better price at a dealer that turns around a lot of Evos. You need to find a dealer that has at least a couple of Evo MRs in stock.

I just got my '12 MR Touring/Premium a month ago:

1. Figure out exactly what you want...color, accessories, etc.
2. Use the Mitsubishi dealer locator and hit up their websites to find it. Call if you have to. Don't settle for something you don't want becuase it's cheaper or closer.
3. Go to http://www.car-buying-strategies.com/ and find invoice, calculate true dealer cost, add cost for touring/premium, nav, interior package, accessories.
4. Tell the dealership how much you're going to pay for it and how much you're getting for your trade in if you have one.
5. Pick up a blank pre-approved check from the bank and go get your new car. Too easy.

I financed everything including accessories. Up to you how much cash you want to put down to get lower monthly payments. I ended up driving three hours to get mine and had to do the interior package and nav myself but both are easy.

They told you 'it's easier' because it is easier. Its like a robbery, shut up and they take your money. Done and over

The part about saving you money? TOTAL LIE.

YOU or ANYONE could walk into any dealership in America and pay MSRP, and you too would get a car on the spot. Didn't any of this set of alarms for you?

Honestly, just call Southcoast or another awesome dealer. END THREAD. Going with what they told you is just paying more money. Wake up and ditch your credit union unless your credit is so bad that you have to use them.

I'm not hating, but just trying to help and point out what seems logical to many of us

Side note: you will LOVE your EVO!
