Brakes Failed! - EvoXForums.com

Wow.. one thing after another with this car. First off I wanna say the car is fine and most importantly im fine. I was at a car meet 2 minutes away from a mitsu dealer and while leaving the meet my brakes pedal felt weird.. it was consistent pressure for about 1-2 seconds then the pedal would slowly descend to the floor as my foot was pressing on it. I threw some brake fluid in because the resevior was dry!? by the time I got to mitsu the pedal didnt feel any better and I checked the resevior when I got there (less then 2 miles of driving) and it was empty again!!

Mitsu was cool about it, I got a loaner car for free I told him ill be back in a week. I hope its just the resevior and not the brake master cylinder. I'm not gonna stress this but its just aggravating.

suggestions?!

On another note im running aftermarket slotted rotors, after market pads. STOCK brake lines. No brake work has been done to the car in 6-7K miles. So this is just a freak incident. I also wanna say I had mitsu replace my CMC about 3 months ago. Maybe that has something to do with itJust thought id mention it.

Something's leaking - that's not good.

There will be paint damage also.

id suggest to upgraded to stainless break lines bro
check all lines see where most parts are wet and go from there
sucks this is happeneing

No paint damage. I got SS lines (not installed yet) I might have Mitsubishi throw them on there if the labor isn't crazy. The thing that really sucks is that the resevior and brake master cyl are only sold together. So if its just a cracked reseviour I still have to pay 400ish. Suggestions

Did you see any leaks, like on ground or on any on the rims when you refilled it?

I did see fluid on the firewall where the resevior and the brake master cylinder meet.
