EvoX Clutch

How long should the clutch last on a 2008 Evolution GSR before it has to get replaced? Had to replace mine at 57000 km. Doest that seem like a short life??

i have read people change it at 4400 miles. so whatever 57 km is to miles i am sure its not bad. i had to do mine at 37000 miles and i have seen people keep going till 57000 miles. it all depends on how you drive. some people say that the power you make also makes a factor. but i have again read that people are making 400 hp i believe on stock clutch with 100+ launches... there is a thread where people just talk about how many miles they have put on their first stock clutch...

That's pretty good clutch life. I'd be satisfied with that!

Truly a question that is best answered with "it depends." . The car's power, people's driving habits and how they use the clutch (time spent anywhere between fully depressed and fully released will wear it out) will determine the life. I'm new to the Evo X, but to provide some context for a frame of reference, my 08 Si on stock power-levels went over 100k on the stock clutch and still ran strong, WRX at 360awhp/380awtq ran 30k miles and still ran strong (stock power level up to 40k miles and increased power levels from 40k miles to 70k miles).

How hard do you drive? You sometimes have a hard time determining this because I know I did. Until I saw how hard people out there really drove their cars/clutch, I determined that I was an average user and never worried about my clutch failing prematurely. Lol
