Pls forgive my ignorance but what are the benefits of replacing OEM plastic underway with heavier aluminum one? Adding much more weight but is it that much extra protection if you hit anything?

Ask the beaver that EXPLODED when I hit him at 80 with this thing on. Holy shit, that was crazy. Fur and pink mist. Little ripple in the front of the plate, and not a thing wrong with the bumper. Awesome part......though they waited until I bought mine before coming out with an improved version.... I know your game SSP.....Im on to you. You guys come out with a CF lightweight version and Ill end up buying that too.
