My kit cost me about $450 for the tank and in tank 044 pump and mounting hardware. The fuel lines (hard, flex) and fittings were another story. I run e-85 100% of the time so I wanted ultra-flex lines to be worry free in the future. Expensive as hell. Lines and fittings along with the micron filter cost me another $700-$800! I have a write up on my setup if you're interested.

What is "my kit"? one of Radium kits or something else? Please share, I'm open to anything that works and isn't over $700. that seems to be a lot for the lines though, but I don't have a ton of experience with these.

Ultraflex 650 lines -8AN

These are almost $40 per foot!

034 motorsports surge tank and it holds a bosch 044 pump submerged inside the tank. You can check out their website and see how it works.

Dang sir, that is sweet. I love it. I still think I'm gonna try to Radium, mainly because the pump-in-tank design interests me. But well done!

I could have went a cheaper route with the lines but I didn't want to go half ass since I was already crossin that line and in the surge tank territory anyway so I said hell with it.

Thanks and good luck with your choice.

Hmm, lets continue this discussion because I'm very interested in this. So basically the wally 255 is probably the best bet for 93, but I don't want to have to upgrade the pump later so the question is if I got a bigger pump in the surge tank I assume I will also need a bigger pump in my car also? Could I get like say an Aeromotive 340 or Wally 400 which should be good for decent power on E-85 and run it on 93 from my surge tank and keep my wally 255 in my fuel tank, then later on upgrade my fuel tank pump (if required)?

Yes, I believe you could. They orig steered me to the 400, as I had mentioned I might want to run e85 in the future. But don't expect my power levels to go beyond 450whp in the next couple years, so in the interest of keeping cost low, they said to stick with the Walbro 255. I can ask and get more details friday. The enclosure (tank) is the same for each of these options...its the end-caps that hold the differnet pump options that change.

Great find and thanks for posting! Looking at the video on their website, it looks to ME like the only difference between this setup and my EvoD surge tank is that the inline fuel pump is mounted INSIDE the surge tank, and not on the outside like mine. I would guess that the advantages of this would be less noise and better cooling of the pump? I still think you will have the same issues with higher baseline fuel pressure, though.

^ he sure does

mine has twin walbro 255s in it (the internal pump option)
things to note :
- the 255s are LOUD with this mounted in the trunk. much like external 044s would be.
- fuel pressure with both running at the same time is huge, like 70-80psi at idle.

my recommendation would be :
- run the pumps sequentially, either via hobbs switch, or use the Hotstix/Beeble method of Load-triggered secondary pump. you only want one pump running at idle/cruise.
- or get say the walbro 400 E85 option, and run that pump using the stock fuel pump wiring. so you have low/high voltage. and run the pump in the oem tank on constant voltage (it only needs to be small, oem pump is fine for almost any application or DW65c)
- or use a quiet pump (eg DW300) for your always-on pump, and a cheaper 255 for your secondary pump.

does it work - yes it works great. no surge while racing whatsoever. that's on 14kg springs, 265 soft semislick rubber, even on long sweeping left handers.
it's small-ish
it looks great
it's very well made
it doesn't leak

so my current setup is....
DW65c in main fuel tank on stock wiring. return drilled to 3mm.
Primary 255 in EST always on, full voltage via external relay
Secondary 255 in EST turns on when Load hits 160, triggered by ecu via relay.
i have a fuel pressure gauge in my car. as it comes on boost and the secondary pump kicks in, fuel pressure will jump from say 55psi to 80psi in a flash. you need to tune around that but it's not hard. while driving you're almost always above 20psi, or below 10psi really. it's rare to have situations where the seconadary pump is flicking on and off all the time (and f***ing with your fuel pressure big time)
my base pressure will go down to 35psi. i run 45psi base.
i can run the oem fuel tank dry, no pickup issues.

^^^ the lines aren't routed that way now, they go through the vent on the left there. but you get the idea.
