Also works good against break-ins/vandalism since the car is out in the open and usually in the view of passing traffic. Thieves usually like cars parked next to others so they can use them as cover.

I try to just park away from people, or next to a decent car.

I figure they will likely not want to ding their own car either, opposed to parking next to a bomber.
