ECU bricks on anything other than stock maps

Hey guys...so ive ran into a problem. Hoping i wont need a new ECU 2010 SE every time we try and flash a new map its bricking. Original base map ended up being bad so grabbed the 2010 MR stock map and works fine, just cant get a tune to stick at all. Flash completes without errors but car fails to start and have to bench it back to the stock map.

Since im running ams intercooler, uicp, ams turboback ehaust, and ams intake really not comfortable driving around on base maps. Any ideas? Thinking maybe a voltage spike during the flash?

I would say it has to do with the actual tune and not the actual loading of the map.

Its possible, but Evan has done a bunch of 10s w/o problems. Everyone here has used him with great results.

Fairly certain, loaded up the stock MR rom just fine. anything other than that is whats causing the bricking.

well, I should say stock, as the stock MAP went bad, had to pull a base MR off of here.

Ill have him double check to ensure he isnt trying to tune a GSR MAP when loading in the tune, but culd you think of anything else? We think there might be a porblem with the ECU, though I hope not.

I cant see it being a issue with the ecu if it accepts the new stock map. It does fire up and drive with that map, correct?

Try making a copy of a stock map and copy paste the maps/tune into the copy. If your definition is right this could possibly weed out any errors in the tuned rom itself.

*experienced tuners chime in if that's a crap suggestion

Indeed, it does drives just fine with the stock MAP.

Essentially it goes like this: Loaded up stock MAP, plugged in ECO, started car just fine. Turn car off, turn key to start, load up tuned MAP, bricks ECU. (Trying to start car it cranks over and over but doesn't ignite, leaving on start turns on all fans, etc)

Bench the ECU again, reload stock map, car works again.

Brand new tactrix cable and open port as well, jsut came in today.

Maybe the MAP we are trying to load is bad now, though he has used it for other MR's just fine.

Maybe its a voltage surge when remapping when plugged into car?

At home now, but the screen was the successful one, gives the pop up saying Operation completed successfully, if done with ECU turn ignition off. Going to get back together thursday with him, just trying to come into it with any suggestions people might have to make things work. I know he will be calling up one of the guys at Cobb to talk to them and see if they have any advice.
