Can this be fixed
So it has been a rough week for the evo. Was an idiot and came out of a parking lot with a huge dip and pretty much equalized my lip. Then next day two of my tires pretty much separated and had to shell out for new tires. Question, is there any way to fixed this lip, the CF is pretty much separated with some cracks. I have no body work experience. I know I cant fix the CF, but it there a way to use epoxy or bondo to fill this and sand it down then color match it to the car?

I actually can't take full credit for this. I saw somebody say that and he showed up out of nowhere so I figured he must be a genie and that was the line used to summon him....
IKT is our carbon fiber expert. Try pm'ing him or posting your question in this thread here http://www.evoxforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=71405

Ikt should definitely have some wise words for this. You annihilated that thing so actually fixing the carbon fiber might be a tad difficult though. Fixing it with some bondo then paint matching could work, but you would need to make sure the texture is uniform throughout the entire lip. Also make sure the bondo you use isn't cheap crap, again ikt should be able to point you in the right direction for that as well.

that can be fixed, its actually 90% fiberglass
anyway no body experience, I would probably advise against attempting to Bondo and paint it. If you still feel adventuresome, let me help a little. I can get my body shop supplier to mix up any OEM paint code as a lacquer into a spray can so it will match and not be shitty paint but really, I think you should take a swing at a resin fix, I can point you in the right direction of some some easy to work with stuff.
