HAPPY New Year everyone!!!!
Hey guys I still can't decide after test driving the EvoX between the two my Z and the evo. I wanted to start a thread here and see what you guys thought I don't want to start a war or anything just want some opinions and thoughts between the 2. I know both are kind of different cars with mainly different purposes. AWD vs RWD, 4 turbo vs NA 6.... I'm sure you know the difference between the two. I just wanted to know why you guys picked the evo over the other options you might of had such as the 370z, 350z, WRX, mustang, camaro, s2000... big list just want to see what your thoughts are I have read many reviews and comparisons but most of them are old. I want to see what your thoughts are after owning the car for a while specially the guys with the 08-09 evos who have had their cars for over 4-5 years. Thank you and have a Happy New year. |

the maintenance alone isnt worth trading the Z for the X.
In canada Mitus wants 3000km oil changes.............. tons of issues with them also. Timing chains, plugged cats, popped motors, broken Active centre diffs, broken diff bolts, rusting rear ACD pump etc............. bro have you had any major issues with the Z? I came from a G35 coupe 6spd (same platform as the 370Z). I miss the RWD fun every now and then but I win a hell of a lot more races. I've also modified the shit out of my Evo though. I like the 370 but a brand new one wasnt worth the money to me.
Reasons I traded in no particular order... 1. I wanted a four door. 2. I wanted a turbo 3. Evo's are beast 4. My G35 was falling apart faster than I could restore it (it was a 2003) 5. I wanted to try AWD 6. Goes with 5, I wanted something more comfortable in inclement weather Downside from trade (Cons) 1. I miss the hell out of the exhaust tone from the G35/ VQ 2. Maintenance is a bitch and aint cheap (but its well worth it) 3. Its a Mitsubishi (Over all, I consider myself a Nissan lover that has a dirty affair with slutty Evo's. Even though Mitsubishi is like VD, I still had to experience an Evo.)

I didnt vote because buying a car shouldnt be a popularity contest. I want so many different cars for so many different reasons. If I could I would have a bigger garage than Jay Leno. From a CR-Z to a Pagani Zonda, I love them all for their own unique traits and abilities.
You arent having a kid that you're stuck with for life. Its only a car. Buy one and then sell it if you dont like it.
