unless you have extra money to own a second car then buy an evo x, i voted for just keeping the Z, why ? because switching cars and modding car is a money pit. it wont stop until your priority is somewhere else. i dont see that much benefit switching 350z to evo x both are great cars

I had a 350z and clk55 prior to the evo x. I was actually looking at c63, m3, s4, 335, mustang, and camaro. Always have had rwd cars even in the northeast. After reading about the stis capabilities, went for a test drive and liked it a lot. I still wasn't sold on awd and cheap interior coming from previous luxury sports cars (e46 m3, b5 s4, w209 clk55, and etc). Went to test drive a evo x for fun. Whole way I was being very negative...who would want to buy a car from a company that cuts corners and is on the verge of collapsing their own us division?

First corner sold me and I proceeded to trade in the 350z and sold the amg privately. I have never had a car take a corner like the evo with absolute confidence. It makes you forget about the cheap interior, the loud noise, the creaks, the failed us mitsu division, and anything negative.

The car just defies gravity. The aftermarket is abundant. The enthusiast support is great.

Sometimes I think about going back to rwd and luxury sport but I jump in the evo and take that first corner and erase every inclination to go back.

I would think that if you plan on modding the car, you would get better gains with bolt-ons on the Evo than the 370z.

You arent having a kid that you're stuck with for life. Its only a car. Buy one and then sell it if you dont like it.
Well said. These polls/posts are nonsense. This guy already knows what he is going to buy anyway.

You're asking on an Evo forum whether you should get an Evo.. I wonder how that's going to turn out

Why? And don't ask for our opinion because we all have different reasons. This has been asked tons of times and answered in many different ways for different situations.

I wouldn't trade the Z if it was my daily and I was single. The Z is not a dick magnet like the Evo.

The Z only needs to drive two wheels and there for less to maintain.

The Z has a nicer interior and nice body lines.

The Z is supported by a much better company.

The Z is tells everyone that you don't car pool. You're not the one driving all your buddies around. You must be single.

The Evo is not a polar opposite of the Z but it is a different kind of car.

Like MarkM said if you already test drove it and it didn't stand out it may not be for you.

The Evo is the absolute best AWD, 4 door, all season performance car for the money!! I say it depends on what you want from a car, where you live and what your family structure is.. For me i live in Ohio where we have great summers and crappy winters and i refuse to drive a beater car for winter and can't afford more than 2 nice cars for me and the wife, but that's just me. I also have 2 kids under 3 years old, so i need the spacious 4 door. Plus i like to have fun with the car and take it to the track and some car shows.

I had an 08' 350z. I really wasn't crazy about the handling. But I'm a rotary
guy at heart. A buddy of mine talked me into getting an Evo after driving his.
Plus I've done all the work on his. I consider these cars easy to work on. But
I've been working and tuning on my cars and some friends cars for a long time.
But I did keep my Rx7 I built last year. Can't beat that rev happy turbo rotary.
I like the handling of the Evo. And it has practicality with being a four door.
And plus I wanted something newer than my Rx7's that I could get into once in
a while. Can't go wrong with an Evo, that's for sure.
Good luck with you decision!
