No License (Ran out the door to get gas, just brought cash)
No Inspection Sticker
No Seatbelt (Bullshittery, I've never NOT worn one while the vehicle is moving.)

I was never given a reason why he pulled me over, just the citation and a "You're wasting my fucking time out here with no license making me look it up"

I was extremely respectful, Yes Officer, no Officer. He asked why my eyes were red (Contacts, and I'm allergic to my brother's dog, who was just in the car.) I told him I'd submit to any sobriety test/drug test he'd like.

Asked me why I was nervous. Told him to check my driving record, and that I never get pulled over and always try to follow the laws.

Asked if he could search the vehicle, I said absolutely, that I had nothing to hide at all. (He didn't) Gave me shit about a little ziplock baggie in the cupholder he saw... With my oil pressure sensor in it. (LOL)

Walked around the front of the vehicle and made sure I had a front plate, and then saw my lack of inspection sticker.


My question is this: If I was wearing my seatbelt, and he didn't figure out I didn't have a license or inspection sticker until after he pulled me over... Why did he pull me over? Did he put the No Seatbelt on there to use that as his probable cause to pull me over? Isn't he legally supposed to advise me of why he pulled me over?

Reminds me of when I got pulled over near school for "not having my seat belt on", but it was because I had racing harnesses and they matched my shirt. He walked up and then was like "Oh...make sure you wear a seat belt, it's the law." Then walked off.

Not a big deal but embarrassing nonetheless getting pulled over in front of the recreation center which is a pretty busy spot.

Sometimes you just get a douche bag cop.

I've had one pull me over for absolutely no reason other than my car sticks out, plus he had a ride along with him so he probably wanted to pull someone over, and show off how cool he thought he was.

First asked me why I had no front plate, I replied, I do.(which I do), he was just dumb and didn't see it because its mounted to the side.
Then said my exhaust is illegal, which it technically is, but its a HFC Perrin exhaust, and quiet as hell, I just told him it was a factory sport exhaust option, since it could pass for one.
Then he was asking me the last time I smoked pot, and if I had pot in my car, which I have never had any drugs in my car, so I'm not sure where he got the idea it smelled like it, probably just wanted to see if I would get nervous or freeze up. Then I started being a smart ass, and told him to get get the K9 unit, and he is welcomed to search my car if he wanted, but he didn't bite.

Surprisingly he didn't say anything about my tints though. My guess is he just wanted to show off and pull me over for his ride along. No tickets resulted, and I started being a dick to him about half way through the stop.

You're in MA? Dont know the laws there but in Texas you could get the No License ticket waived by proving you actually have one by showing it at the court. Easy - DONE
Maybe the same applies where you are?
You might also get the No Inspection fine dismissed if you actually get it inspected within so many days of your ticket. Just say you had an appointment and they were fully booked or something. Worked for me in Texas.
The No Seat belt ticket will be hard to fight since its your word against his. But if he's wrong and you want to take it to court, he might just opt not to show up (because he could be proven wrong) and then all charges should be dropped because he's the only other witness.
Now I aint pass the bar but I know a little bit, after all the trouble I got as a young kid.
Paid my city lots of money in traffic tickets but I also got a lot of crap dismissed.
Just call the number on the ticket and ask what your options are for dismissal and what you need to do to challenge it.

Thanks. I don't have proof of an appointment, but it's obvious that the stations are closed for the holidays, and I can get proof from Kaizen that the car has been in and out of the shop to fix CEL issues.

The court doesnt usually go for exceptions. They'll just say that it should have been towed and shouldnt have been on the road, blah blah blah.
The best you can hope for is getting the inspection done ASAP (since you need it done anyway right?) and having proof when you go to take care of it.
Its been about 10 years but I still remember the day... I was driving down the road talking to my Mom on my cell phone (before that was illegal) and suddenly I look over there was a female cop on a motorcycle. We make eye contact. She then looks at my inspection stickers. Looks at me. Looks at my stickers. Slows down and gets behind me. Pulls me over. Expired inspection.
Dont know why I can still play that scene in my head but Im pretty sure I remember the court telling me I had like 10 days or something to get it inspected to have the ticket dismissed.

Sounds like douchebag cop. You could probably have it dismissed if you bothered to fight since he never cited you for any primary offenses. All of those things he cited you for are secondary offenses AFAIK
