Houston just banned the use of stop light cameras in the Houston city area.

Also, about those f-ing red light cameras. I got video tagged on 2 different occassions on Route 1 heading towards Bell Mitsu. Apparently stopping completely for 2 full seconds before making that right on red isn't good enough for the municipality.

You must be from a different country....because I have done it enough times in enough states to know that the opposite is the truth. They ALWAYS show up. In-Fact, in many states, if they cannot make it, they can request for a continuance as well to ensure they get paid for the offense.

MD has a similar system. They also have speed cameras that fire for anything 10+ over the limit.

This is true in California. They are encouraged to show up and are paid to do so as part of their job duties.

Haha yes im not american but i have been at the court enough times to say they dont show up 80% of the time. If committed a crime yes they will be there but no for something like this.

Just to mention! Last month i went to court to fight a ticket. The cop sent me a ticket on the mail for not having my inspection sticker. I paid the $25 dollar fee to fight the ticket, judge asked me for a proof that i got my car inspected, he dismissed the ticket.

Cop didnt show up... most of the time they just have cop that will represent the State or Law or w.e is call. Lol

This is off subject a little but. Next time a state trooper pulles you over say. "oh hello officer, are you just. Inviting me to the annual state ball?" He should reply. "what state troopers dont have balls." its gottin one guy i know to get out of a 20 over ticket.
