I would send it back for replacement. Might as well get a perfect IC cause that is what you paid for.

I wouldnt bother. That small dent isnt going to effect anything. This is obviously an issue with customs, not ETS anyways. Customs probably opend it up, tore the paper to check for drugs and then realised its a legit car part. In the process, dropped it.

I guess if it really boils down to aesthetics and whether or not you care about the small defect.

Regardless of whos fault it is (im sure it was custom's or the shipper's fault,as it usually is) why accept a package you paid siginifcant money for with a broken or damaged part?

Because it's an insignificant flaw that can be repaired in about 30 seconds or could be ignored entirely with no ill effects? No one will ever see it, or notice it, and the dent appears to be so small that you won't get boost leaks from it etc.

It would take you longer to pack it back up and return it than to fix it haha.

Thanks everyone for your input.

I contacted ETS and was given the option to either return the item or keep it. As usual, very good customer service from ETS.

I reside in Australia. To make things a little trickier, the item was purchased from MAPerformance and sent from ETS to a package forwarding company. This company then sent the product to me. I have informed the forwarding company about the damaged package and am waiting for their response. Not sure if I should inform MAPerformance about this as well.

It may be too much hassle to return it back as there are two shippers involved and I'm not sure how much I need to pay to ship the product back.

I am not too worried about the minor bend. I'm more concerned about the "weakened" cold side area (resulting from the drop) that could cause other issues in the future.

I would agree with Happymint on this one...I dont think you will have any negative performance issues with it, but I would atleast contact ETS to let them know it was damaged, maybe they can give you some cash back since it was damaged, you never know.
